Website Orders

Order confirmation deposit, cancellation and refund policy

  • Since all our cakes and cupcakes are baked to order by a small team, we cannot unfortunately accept returns.
  • Refunds, credit notes or a replacement order to the same value will be offered in the event that you receive the incorrect product or if the products are shown to be of unsatisfactory quality. In these instances please notify us immediately with the details of your order together with photographic evidence via email at info@gayascakes.com. Please ensure that you do this on the day of receipt as Gaya’s Cakes will not accept liability for any complaints made after this time.
  • If you need to change the date or details of your order or make a cancellation please contact us with as much notice as possible. Orders cancelled 7 days or more before the delivery/collection date will receive a full refund on the order total; those cancelled within 3-6 days of delivery/collection will be entitled to a 50% refund; those cancelled within 72 hours of the order date will not be entitled to a refund.

Design

  • Each cake is handmade to order and therefore minor variations to colours and decorations can occur in designs.

Allergies

  • Please note, while we can cater to specific dietary requirements / allergens our kitchen is not an environment that is completely free of all the common allergens so there is always a risk of contamination despite our best efforts.

Bespoke Cake Orders

Order confirmation deposit, cancellation and refund policy

  • A non refundable 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking and secure your event date.
  • The balance is due one month prior to collection or delivery.
  • Regrettably, we will not be able to offer any refund if a cake order is cancelled in the thirty days preceding the pre-agreed delivery or collection date.
  • Orders and dates are not secured unless a deposit has been paid.
  • Clients must comply with requested deadlines around design and flavour selection in order for the team to have the cake ready for the delivery date. Failure to comply with these deadlines will result in the order being cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
  • Any disputes must be raised within 24 hours of cake delivery / collection.
  • Please note, we cannot be held responsible for any physical damages to the cake once it has been collected / delivered.

Changes to order

  • Any changes to your order may incur a fee to cover the reworking of the cake design and / or loss of work already completed on the order.
  • Changes that involve reworking the design to reduce costs is not permitted after the non refundable deposit is paid.
